Mari Balls

Temari is an fork craft born in ancient Japan. It began as a way of making toy for children and lives on as an example of fine Japanese needle work. Handcrafted by Nobuko Yoshihara- mother of Dallin 3rd grader Seiji Yoshihara- from kimono fabrics, these three gorgeous Mari balls can be used as decorations or toys. Each one is unique and makes a gentle rattling sound when shaken. Mari balls are also given as tokens of good luck.

Otedama Lesson

Have you hear of the Japanese art of Otedama, which involves making toys out of kimono fabrics and notions? If you love crafts and beautiful fabrics, then this is the auction item for you. Nobuko Yoshihara, mother of Dallin 3rd grader Seiji Yoshihara , will teach up to five people this lovely art. The lesson can take place in your home, or at anther location of your choice. Nobuko will supply the fabrics and notions.
